My practice involves exploring conditions of limbo, with a focus on death, time and ephemerality. Often my research leads me towards momentary and organic material, and aims to propose new systems and methods for engagement. Most recently this has taken form through building digital interfaces, tools and instruments used to explore, amplify and reflect the barely visible, tangible or audible, while expressing the resonance and relationship between people, plants, and organic matter.
In 2017, I received an MFA from AKV St. Joost (The Netherlands) in conjunction with courses in the Transdisciplinary New Media program at the Paris College of Art (France). I have participated in residencies across Canada and Europe; most notably at the Banff Centre for a thematic residency, at House for an Art Lover during Glasgow International in Scotland, Witte Rook in the Netherlands, Chateau Ephemere in France and at the Assiniboine Park Conservatory in Winnipeg. I have given lectures in France, the United Kingdom, Colombia and Canada.
I was selected for the Emerging Excellence Award by the Manitoba Arts Council in 2019 and was selected by V2_for their Graduation Edition (in recognition of being one of the five most promising graduates of 2017 across Europe in with work focused on New Media), was nominated for the Blooom Award and as a finalist for the 2017 Salt Spring National Art Prize.
I have mentored through Creative Manitoba, Video Pool/Arts and AccessAbility Network and as a substitute mentor for MAWA's Foundation Mentorship Program. I've worked to support artists through supporting in grant writing, sharing tips and insights into coding, and work as an instructor at the Winnipeg Art Gallery as well as an Artist in the Schools.
